My 7 Day Chia Challenge brings you one of my favorite alkalizing drinks. It’s best to drink it first thing in the morning. It’s chia seeds, water, and a few teaspoons of raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar (I use Bragg’s Raw unfiltered ACV).
The taste of raw apple cider vinegar will definitely make you pucker up! It takes a little getting used to, but after a while your taste buds will adjust.
Why add raw apple cider vinegar to your chia water?
Here are 6 very good reasons why!
- Helps remove toxins at a greater speed.
- Maintains your bodies PH balance.
- Breaks down fat for proper elimination.
- Assists in weight loss.
- Good for clearing up your skin!
- Rich in potassium (key for building muscle).
Bring on the alkalizing ACV on this 7 Day Chia Challenge! The following “Chia Gel Drink” is tart, sweet and has a bold vanilla flavor when you add vanilla stevia. You could also add other stevia flavors too!
ALKALIZING CHIA GEL DRINK
Ingredients
- 3 cups pure water
- raw honey to taste
- 1-2 Tbls. raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar
- 3-5 drops vanilla stevia (optional)
- 1 -2 Tbls. chia seeds
- Add honey, ACV, vanilla stevia to three cups of water and stir. Add chia seeds and continue to stir. Or use a shaker bottle and shake! Begin by adding 1 Tablespoon of ACV until you adjust to the taste.
- Let sit for 20-30 minutes to gel up.
2 options for your Chia Gel Drink.
Option 1: For a thicker chia gel drink add more seeds. For thinner add less.
Option 2: Use coconut water or fresh juice instead of water and omit the ACV for an excellent rehydrating post workout chia drink.
