How To Detox Your Armpits In 7 Days To Prevent Breast Cancer

How To Detox Your Armpits In 7 Days To Prevent Breast Cancer

Currently, breast cancer is the leading cause of death among women aged 35–54 years old (1).
American men have a 43% chance of developing cancer in their lifetime. For women, it’s a 37% lifetime chance (2).
So why is it important to detox your armpits? What is the link between armpits and breast cancer?
There is a lot of work going into diagnosing and curing breast cancer. However, no one’s really talking about what causes it.

Aluminum and Breast Cancer

Your skin is the largest organ in your body. It’s constantly absorbing nutrients from its surface.
Unfortunately, your skin is also soaking up cream, makeup and other beauty products.
This seems to be relatively harmless, until you find out what your everyday products are made of.
Here are just a few example of what lurks in store-bought deodorants and antiperspirants:
  • Aluminum – causes breast cancer and Alzheimer’s disease
  • Propylene glycol – an antifreeze agent
  • Parabens – disrupt hormones
  • Formaldehyde – is well-known carcinogenic substance
  • Phthalates – yet another hormone disruptor
  • Antibacterial substances – negatively affects the immune system and endocrine system
Aluminum salts are a popular ingredient in drugstore deodorants and antiperspirants. Recent studies have evaluated them as potentially carcinogenic.
The Journal of Inorganic Biochemistry confirms that malignant breast tissue contained high concentrations of aluminum. Alarmingly, it’s also been found in human breast milk.
Aluminum is a strong neurotoxin. In the words of Dr. Chris Shaw, Neuroscientist and Professor at the University of British Columbia, aluminum “causes all kinds of unusual biochemical reactions in the body, including the brain.” (3). It’s also been linked to the onset Alzheimer’s disease and autism.
If you are a long-time user of antiperspirant or deodorant, read below. Detoxifying your armpits can be as easy as changing a few lifestyle habits.

How To Detox Your Armpits

1. Go To a Sauna
Sweat is your body’s way to get rid of toxins and cool down. Increasing the amount of time you sweat in a day will help you body detox. This is also an easy way to boost your immune system
2. Drink Mineral Water
Drinking water helps the body flush out toxins and stay hydrated.
It’s been proven that drinking high silica content mineral water helps remove aluminum via urine (4). This is can be purchased online or at your local health food store.
3. Change Your Deodorant
Most deodorants and antiperspirants contain not only aluminum, but many other toxic chemicals. Make sure to read the label on your personal care products to avoid these. Beware; even “organic” or “natural” products can contain harmful components.
To be on the safe side, make your own by following with this DIY deodorant recipe.
You can also fight underarm odor thanks to these tips.

DIY Armpit Detox Recipe

To reverse the effects on long-term deodorant use, try this homemade armpit detox. It will also help control the bacteria that causes body odor.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon of organic apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of bentonite clay
  • 3 drops of rosemary essential oil (optional)
  • 5 drops of cilantro essential oil (optional)
Instructions:
  1. Mix apple cider vinegar and clay in a large bowl.
  2. Add essential oils and mix until smooth. (you can skip this step if you don’t have any essential oils on hand)
  3. To use, spread a thin layer on your armpits and leave on for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Wash off using a damp cloth and repeat daily for a week.

Do You Recognize This Fruit? It Lowers Cholesterol, ......

Do You Recognize This Fruit? It Lowers Cholesterol, Fights Hypertension and Controls Diabetes

Best known in North America as “star fruit” due to its shape when sliced cross-wise, the carambola is actually native to Sri Lanka.
There are many varieties of this fruit grown in tropical regions around the world.
Its flavors range from sour to sweet and are sometimes described as a combination of grape, apple, pear, and citrus.
Unique and novel in shape, it’s often seen as a garnish for other foods.
But star fruit dietary benefits are even more impressive than its shape.
Most notably, the leaves, flowers, roots and fruits are edible and have been used in Eastern and South American medicines for centuries.
Low in sugar and calories, the star fruit is high in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants with protective benefits against hypertension, diabetes, and high cholesterol. It’s also widely used as an antibiotic, analgesic, and anti-inflammatory medicine.

Proceed with Caution

Please note: carambola is toxic to those suffering from kidney disease.
A Brazilian study found an amino acid in star fruit that easily binds to ether, alcohol, and acid groups, which researchers name “caramboxin”. In the phytochemical family of oxalates, this acid aids in plant and animal metabolism.
Healthy kidneys dispatch the amino acid as a matter of course but in the case of kidney malfunction, it can accumulate. It then enters the central nervous system, causing symptoms from uncontrollable hiccups and vomiting to seizures and coma—called “star fruit poisoning” (1). For people on dialysis, star fruit will almost always cause a severe adverse reaction and can lead to death if not treated quickly and properly (2).
Drug interactions: the juice of the star fruit significantly inhibits the activity of a particular enzyme that is critical to drug metabolism (CYP3A) (34). If you are taking any pharmaceuticals, please consult your healthcare provider before eating even one star fruit.
If it’s safe to do so, proceed with glee.

9 Star Fruit Benefits

Here are 9 reasons to be a little adventurous and try this funky fruit.

1. Antimicrobial and Antioxidant

Chemicals in star fruit provide antibacterial and antifungal benefits against common pathogens such as SalmonellaE.coli, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa (causes blood infections and pneumonia) (56).
Its free-radical scavenging ability is impressive, with multiple compounds reducing inflammation and oxidative stress in the body.

2. Regulates Blood Sugar

Carambola root extract reduces serum blood glucose and promotes pancreatic function (7). Its own sugar (4 grams) and caloric content (30) are low so is a good fruit choice for diabetics.

3. Cancer

In a 2014 study, star fruit showed protective effects against induced liver cancer in mice, with implications for natural cancer treatment (8).

4. Regulates Cholesterol

The shiny smooth skin of star fruit contains significant amounts of fiber. Getting enough fiber prevents the absorption of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol. Plus, adequate amounts of dietary fiber contribute to the metabolism of fats.
In one study, star fruit fiber prevented the development of fatty liver in laboratory animals (9).  Epicatechin is a phytochemical in carambola that has been specifically found to inhibit the creation of fat cells (10).

5. Fetal Development

Folic acid is a B-complex vitamin (B9), a deficiency of which can cause birth defects—especially those of the central nervous system.
Carambola is a good source of B2 and B6 as well—essential vitamins important for metabolism and liver and eye health (11,12). Vitamin B2 is necessary to facilitate the body’s use of folic acid and is itself an antioxidant.

6. Fluoride Toxicity

By now we know that fluoride is a neurotoxin. The many benefits of star fruit include the almost immediate reduction of the metabolic disturbances caused by fluoride (13).

7. Hypertension

The leaves of carambola are used in traditional Brazilian medicine to moderate blood pressure. It works by inhibiting aortal contraction, allowing blood to move more freely (14).
In addition, star fruit contains potassium and other electrolytes, which are known to control heart rate and blood pressure.

8. Immune System Support

One cup of star fruit contains about three-quarters of the recommended daily value of vitamin C. This is the number one nutrient for killing viruses and promoting optimal immune system function.

9. Healthy Skin

Antioxidant flavonoids in star fruit are responsible for stimulating protective compounds in skin cells, reducing inflammation and inhibiting ultraviolet radiation (UV) damage (15).
The potency of this funky yellow fruit is undeniable.
Caution must be applied under certain conditions but if you can add star fruit to your diet, it’s a welcome choice.
A study in Bangladesh reviewed the chemistry of carambola and its use in that country:
“Fruits and its fruit juice are used as antioxidant, astringent, tonic also to treat diarrhoea, vomiting, dysentery, hepatic colic, bleeding piles, relieving thirst and febrile excitement.
The leaves are antipruritic, antipyretic and anthelmintic and are also useful in scabies, fractured bones, and various types of poisoning, intermittent fevers and intestinal worms.” (16)
Carambola definitely gets a gold star in health.

How to Cook Rice With Coconut Oil to BURN More Fat and Cut Calories by 50%!

How to Cook Rice With Coconut Oil to BURN More Fat and Cut Calories by 50%!

A versatile staple food, rice is the foundation of many diets around the world – particularly in Asia and the Caribbean.
Fried, steamed, rolled into sushi… rice’s popularity is due mostly to it’s malleability; it pairs well with many different foods, and is accessible and inexpensive no matter where you live.
One cup of cooked rice holds approximately 200 calories, most of which comes from starch in the food. Starch is turned into sugar in the body, and often stored as fat.
In fact, the consumption of white rice, which has fewer nutrients than brown rice, has been linked to an increased risk of diabetes.
A Harvard University study published in the British Medical Journal concluded that this risk is especially prevalent in Asian countries, where individuals may eat multiple servings of white rice per day(1).

Making The Rice Healthier

Fortunately, scientists think they may have found the key to preparing rice in a way that is ultimately better for you – and all it takes is a few simple steps.
Sudhair James, one of the researchers behind the method, presented his preliminary research at the National Meeting And Exposition of the American Chemical Society, saying:
“What we did is cook the rice as you normally do, but when the water is boiling, before adding the raw rice, we added coconut oil – about 3 percent of the weight of the rice you’re going to cook. After it was ready, we let it cool in the refrigerator for about 12 hours.”

Why It Works

This simple method to cook rice works by manipulating the chemistry of the starches within the rice, transforming digestible starches into resistant starches, which takes more time for the body to process.
Most starches, white short grain rice in particular, are quickly digested and converted into glucose in the body.
While most of it generally gets stored in the liver and muscles as glycogen, any excess glucose that isn’t used usually ends up being stored as fat.
And over the long run this can become a major contributor to weight gain and a host of other health issues such as diabetes and obesity.
Sudhair James from the College of Chemical Sciences in Sri Lanka presented his research during the National Meeting & Exposition of the American Chemical Society.
He showed that cooking rice with coconut oil could cut caloric absorption by 10-12%, and potentially up to 50-60% with further research.
This cooking technique of heating and cooling has been studied before, specifically in potatoes(2) – so it stands to reason that the same principle would apply to rice. Indeed, fried rice and pilaf-style rice have more resistant starches than steamed rice.
While researchers have yet to test this theory on as many variety of rice as possible, they are hopeful – if calories in rice can be reduced by a simple preparatory process, maybe the same can be done eventually for other starches and carbohydrates, such as bread. The implications of this are significant in the global fight against obesity and diabetes.
“We as scientists believe that if we are going to do this process on the best varieties and if this method is going to work this could be a massive breakthrough,” James said. “We could lower the calories in rice by 50 to 60 percent.”

How To Cook Rice with Coconut Oil

The chilling time is 12 hours but it’s a crucial step in converting the starches, so make sure you don’t skip this.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup white rice
  • 2 teaspoons coconut oil
  • 1 3/4 cups water
Instructions:
  • In a pot, bring water to a boil.
  • Add coconut oil to pot, followed by the rice.
  • Cover, lower heat, and cook for 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Once the rice is cooked, let it cool, then chill in the fridge for at least 12 hours.
This may seem like a lot work to cook rice but if you have blood sugar or weight issues, this procedure can be very helpful. It will naturally increase the resistant starch content of your rice by 10 times, which can help you avoid sugar spikes.

7 Skin Cancer Warning Signs You Should Never Ignore

7 Skin Cancer Warning Signs You Should Never Ignore

Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the United States. It is estimated that one in five Americans will develop skin cancer (1). The unfortunate part of skin cancer is that several common causes of this cancer are due to bad habits that could potentially be avoided. It is important to know the signs of possible skin cancer growth and to get immediate help if unsure. Being aware of new or changing spots on your body can be the difference between treating skin cancer and the spread of severe cancerous cells.

What Is Skin Cancer?

Skin cancer is the uncontrolled growth of abnormal skin cells. Basically, when unrepaired DNA damages skin cells, it triggers mutations or genetic defects that lead the skin cells to multiply rapidly (2). As the cells multiply, they start to form a mass known as a tumor. There are three major types of skin cancers to be aware of (3):
  1. basal cell carcinoma (BCC)
  2. squamous cell carcinoma (SCC)
  3. melanoma

3 Major Types of Skin Cancer

Both basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma are malignant but usually do not spread to other parts of the body. These types of cancers are usually less severe than melanoma but they still require treatment. Melanoma, on the other hand, is malignant and very severe—  spreading to other parts of the body very quickly. This cancer can be fatal if not caught and treated early (3)

1. Basal Cell Carcinoma Signs and Symptoms

This cancer usually occurs on sun-exposed areas of your body such as the face or neck. This cancer may appear as (5):
  • a waxy bump
  • a flat flesh-colored or brown scar-like lesion
  • can look like a pimple at first
  • bleeds easily

2. Squamous Cell Carcinoma Signs and Symptoms

This cancer usually occurs on sun-exposed areas of your body like your ears, face or hands, but people with darker skin are more likely to develop this cancer in areas that aren’t often exposed to the sun. This cancer may appear as (5):
  • a firm red lump
  • a flat lesion with a scaly or rough and crusted surface
  • wart-like growth
  • open sore

3. Melanoma Signs and Symptoms

This cancer can develop anywhere on your body. Melanoma is commonly found on the face or torso for men and on the lower legs for women. This cancer can affect people with any skin tone. Melanoma may appear as (5):
  • a large brownish spot with darker speckles
  • a mole that changes in color or size
  • a small lesion with an irregular border that appears red, white, blue or blue-black
  • dark lesions on your palms soles, fingertips, toes, mouth, nose, vagina or anus
  • sore that doesn’t heal
  • itchy or tender

7 Skin Cancer Warning Signs

The following are skin cancer warning signs you should never ignore (7):
  1. An irregular mole- if you find a mole that doesn’t look like your other moles, or if you have one single mole in an otherwise clear part of your body, do not ignore this, visit your doctor immediately.
  2. A vertical dark streak on your nails- many people don’t realize that you can get skin cancer anywhere, including under your finger and toe nails.
  3. Vision problems- this is a symptom of melanoma of the eye, where a spot appears in the back of your eye.
  4. A pimple that won’t go away- squamous cell skin cancer can look like a pimple that won’t go away, or a sore that won’t heal or a scab that keeps recurring, and usually when you try squeezing it there is no puss.
  5. A mole on the sole of your foot- many people have benign spots on the sole of their feet or the palms of their hands, but that being said, they should always be checked out for safety especially if the mole is new or changing.
  6. Experiencing change after removing a mole- if you start seeing pigmentation extending outside the scar, seek medical help immediately, even if the original mole was benign.
  7. There is a black spot inside your cheek- you can get melanoma in your mucous membranes which include the mouth, nasal cavity, anal region and the vagina.

What are the Causes of Skin Cancer?

  • Exposure to UV light such as sunlight- UV rays are dangerous to the skin and can cause wrinkles, rashes and dark spots.
  • Use of tanning beds- tanning beds also emits UV rays to the skin.
  • Impairment of the immune system- your immunity keeps you from getting infections and protects you from cancer, if this is weakened, it is not doing its job.
  • Exposure to unusually high levels of radiation- radiations such as x-rays are known carcinogens (cancer-causing agents).
  • Exposure to chemicals such as arsenic (miners, farmers) and hydrocarbons (tar, oils, soot).

Who is at Risk For Skin Cancer?

According to WebMD, the following people are at greater risk of developing skin cancer:
  • People with fair skin who sunburn easily
  • People with light blond or red hair
  • People with certain genetic disorders that deplete skin pigment
  • People who were born with numerous and/or unusual moles
  • If skin cancer runs in the family

When to See a Doctor

If you notice any abnormalities in your skin such as the development of moles or other irregularities, visit your doctor immediately. If you can catch cancer at its early stages you have a better chance in treating it.

Tips to Prevent Skin Cancer

According to the American Cancer Society, the following are tips to prevent skin damage:
  • Limit your exposure to UV rays
  • Wear sunglasses that block UV rays
  • Wear a hat
  • Apply sunscreen every two hours
  • Protect your skin with clothing
  • Seek shade
  • Avoid using tanning beds and/or sunlamps
On top of those preventative tips, you can also eat antioxidant-rich foods that help protect against skin cancer. You can visit this article for more information.
Sun safety is very important and a great way to prevent any skin damage. Your skin is there to protect your body, so why not show it the same respect and protect it from any harmful elements.

Eat 3 Dates Daily And These 6 Things Will Happen!

Eat 3 Dates Daily And These 6 Things Will Happen!

Just like other dried healthy snacks, if you eat dates on a daily basis, you will get tremendous health benefits. But what are they?
Dates are an ancient food. Some archeological evidence even suggest they were around as far back as 7000 BC. We also know that this wrinkled, brown fruit has been a staple food in the Middle East for thousands of years—and for good reason.
To start, dates are chock-full of minerals, vitamins, and health-benefiting phytonutrients. They contain copper, iron, potassium, magnesium, manganese, a slew of B vitamins including vitamin B6 (pyridoxine), niacin, pantothenic acid, and riboflavin.
They also contain good amounts of vitamins A and K and the carotenes, lutein and zeaxanthin. They are also high in fiber, which is very beneficial for helping your body remove toxins in an easy and effective manner.Eat Dates: Just 3 Dates a Day
Many studies have been done on the health benefits of people who eat dates. One 2003 study in particular that was published in the International Journal of Food, Sciences and

10 DISEASES THAT CAN BE CURED BY MAKING LOVE EVERY......

10 DISEASES THAT CAN BE CURED BY MAKING LOVE EVERY DAY, NO. 6 WILL SURPRISE YOU!

Want to clear your complexion, boost your mood, and cut your risk of cancer, heart disease, and other health hazards? No, the answer isn’t in a magic pill — it’s between your love sheets. That’s right — a little lovin’ can boost your overall health in many surprising ways.

It reduces depression and stress.

No need for chocolate: Some studies show that contact with semen during intercourse can act as an antidepressant for women. But, nevertheless, the deed has positive mental-health associations for everyone! In general, intercourse can make blood pressure less reactive to stress and reduce overall stress levels.

Improved heart health.

Just like any physical activity, intercourse is good for your heart. Several studies have found that your risk of dying from a heart disease event such as stroke or heart attack goes down as the frequency of your good orgasms increase over time

It could make you look younger

A research showed that men and women who have an active love life look between five and seven years younger than their actual age. Sexual satisfaction is a major contributor to quality of life, ranking at least as high as spiritual or religious commitment.

Treats headaches

When you’re making love, your body releases oxytocin and the production of endorphins is increased as well, which significantly relaxes your muscles and relieves the pain.

Counts as Exercise

It won’t replace the treadmill, but it counts for something.
Intercourse uses about five calories per minute, four more calories than watching TV. It gives you a one-two punch: It bumps up your heart rate and uses various muscles. You may even want to clear your schedule to make time for it on a regular basis. Like with exercise, consistency helps maximize the benefits.

INFLUENZA

Did you know that making love every day is also very useful against the flu? Yes, and this means that before you take any medications or you try any natural remedy – make sure you try this “method” first! How this works – well, according to the experts, antibody production is discharged during pleasure, and because of this, it becomes a potent antiviral.

Insomnia

It’s a cliché that men pass out right after sex, but intercourse actually can help both men and women sleep off. Feeling relaxed and comfortable are big factors in hitting the big O, so it makes sense that there’s a tendency to want to snooze right after. During and after love making, the brain releases powerful hormones (including norepinephrine, serotonin, oxytocin, and vasopressin), which can trigger the urge to cuddle or just pass out.

Urinary incontinence

If you suffer from urinary incontinence, having more intimate relationships will strengthen the pelvis and will help you fight this condition.

It regulates periods

Some athletic (hetero) lovemaking once or twice a week can, on a very basic level, make it less likely that Aunt Flow will show up unexpected.

Lessens Pain

Before you reach for an aspirin, try for an orgasm. So even though you might think pain is a barrier to love making, consider this one benefit worth the time and effort: take a moment to really look at your lover.
You should still do all the other things that make your immune system happy, such as:
  • Eat right.
  • Stay active.
  • Get enough sleep.
  • Keep up with your vaccinations.
  • Use a condom if you don’t know both of your STD statuses.
